R.I.P. Alex aka Fred
July 14, 2001 - March 18, 2009

It is with great sadness that I share with you the sudden death of my beloved Alex. If you read the trilogy, you knew him as "Fred." Many of you have written me over the years to tell me how much you enjoyed that character. I must tell you that Fred was just a shadow of the real thing. Alex was an extraordinary guy--my light and my joy--and his brother Parker and I are devastated. Fortunately, I don't believe Alex suffered--he died in my arms on the way to the ER hospital. Thank you for sharing him with me; I wish you all could have met him. |
